Convert HEIC to JPG on your device

Convert iPhone HEIC and HEIF photos to JPG, PNG or WebP in your browser, with optional size limits.

Why a HEIC photo might not open

HEIC is common for iPhone photos. Some application sites and programs accept only JPG or PNG. Renaming a .heic file to .jpg does not convert the image data.

Make a real JPG

Choose a HEIC or HEIF photo and select JPG as the output format. Add file size or dimension requirements if needed, then process. The first HEIC image may take a moment while its decoder is loaded.

Conversion happens on your device. Files containing multiple frames, depth information, or image sequences are saved as a single primary image; their extra information is not retained. Keep your original HEIC separately.

Check the converted photo

Inspect orientation, colors, and edges before saving. HDR or wide-gamut originals may look different from your device’s photo app. Special HEIF codecs and damaged files may not decode.

If a photo cannot be read, try exporting a JPG from your photo app and choosing that file. This tool does not export Live Photo video or save back to HEIC.

Other output formats

JPG is a practical starting point for photos and applications. Choose PNG or WebP when transparency matters. Check that your destination accepts WebP before submitting it.
